Cosyfit Hi-Lo & Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling)
Designed due to popular demand and in association with Royal Masterpeace, we can now offer the Cosyfit mounted on various adjustable bases. We designed them for those who still need the safety of a fully padded bed but also require height adjustable, Trendelenburg features and profiling bed functions.
Cosyfit Hi-Lo
Who is the Cosyfit Hi-Lo for?
The Cosyfit Hi-Lo is suitable for those with a limited amount of mobility, who may thrash, roll, kick or fit and therefore may be unsafe in an ordinary bed. It is not suitable for those who can stand, pull to standing or climb
The Cosyfit Hi-Lo is a robust hi-lo bed system suitable for those with limited mobility, who thrash, kick, roll, and who may therefore be unsafe in an ordinary hi-lo bed or at risk of falling. It is not suitable for those with a great deal of mobility, those who can stand, climb or pull to standing.
The Cosyfit Hi-Lo is a development of the Cosyfit, a tried and tested sleep system which Safespaces have been providing for those with limited mobility for many years. The Cosyfit Hi-Lo enables improved lifting and handling and better provision of care for clients at a comfortable height above floor level.
- The Cosyfit Hi-Lo has a fully padded interior, high sides and a mattress base. There is the option for soft pvc doors with a large pvc window on one or both sides.
- The large pvc window/s allow light and prevent the client from feeling enclosed. The client can view and be viewed by their carer in the rest of the room, and can view sensory equipment if required.
- The bed enclosure is safely secured to the lifting mechanism, which eliminates any entrapment risk between the Cosyfit and the Hi-Lo mechanism.
- The Cosyfit Hi-Lo has a variable height option (see Technical Specifications for range) and Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg functions. These are operated by a handset outside of the Cosyfit, which is fitted with a flexible cord (like a telephone cable). The operator can then be with the client whilst operating the bed functions.
Other Features
- The Cosyfit Hi-Lo is suitable for use with ceiling track hoists, and at its lowest position there is still clearance for use of mobile hoists.
- The Cosyfit padded bed enclosure can be removed from the Hi-Lo base and both can be used separately if required. This makes it a highly flexible and versatile a piece of equipment, with a range of uses:
- As the Cosyfit Hi-Lo
- As the Cosyfit freestanding at floor level
- As a height adjustable bed base, for use with the Cosyfit mattress as provided, or with another of similar dimensions
Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling)
Who is the Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) for?
The Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) is suitable for those with an extremely limited amount of mobility who need a high level of care, but who may also thrash, roll, kick or fit and therefore may be unsafe in an ordinary profiling bed. It is not suitable for those who can stand, pull to standing or who could climb over the back rest or knee break.
The Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) is a profiling bed with higher, softer sides, suitable for those at risk of hurting themselves or falling in most profiling beds, due to headbanging, thrashing or fitting.
It is suitable for those with extremely limited mobility, who would not be able or inclined to try to climb over the raised backrest or knee break.
- The Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) has a fully padded interior, soft sides of up to 76cm and a profiling mattress base. There is the option for a fully opening panel with a pvc window on one or both sides to facilitate caring.
- The Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) has variable height option (see Technical Specifications for range), back support and knee break, and Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg functions. These are operated by a handset outside of the Cosyfit, which is fitted with a flexible cord (like a telephone cable). The operator can then be with the client whilst operating the bed functions.
- The Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) is suitable for use with ceiling track and mobile hoists.
OPTIONS
Height of Cosyfit sides
- Height of Cosyfit Hi-Lo sides up to 1.2m.
- Height of Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling) sides up to 76cm. We recommend a maximum height of 76cm for the Cosyfit Hi-Lo (Profiling). This is because if the client’s mobility would require sides any higher than this, they most likely have the mobility to climb over the back rest or knee break when raised.
It is important for you to assess your client’s level of mobility, and decide what height of the Cosyfit sides are adequate to keep your client safe relative to their care needs, and which product is most suitable for them.
Please Contact Us to discuss this with us.
- One or 2 opening sides with clear pvc windows.
- Holes provided to your specifications on the opening side/s for gastronomy, oxygen or other tubes.
Please see the Cosyfit for more information.
