The Safespace helps to reduce transmitted noise as the person inside is unable to bang against the room walls, whilst for safety the net roof allows them to still be heard. This can vastly reduce the disturbance to other household members and neighbours. Other reported benefits have included a calming influence on those with autism and better sleep patterns (for parents and carers too!)
Safespaces are being used in homes, respite centres and schools for people who need high levels of supervision. They are often used to create a low sensory environment for sleep or “chilling-out” and they are used to create stimulating sensory rooms. Any Safespace can be multi-purpose with the addition of viewing panels and blinds.
Individually designed and custom-made for each location, Safespaces can measure up to 3m x 3m x 2.1m high.
