Jill Morony, Managing Director of Safespaces recommends reading the report commissioned by BHTA (British Healthcare Trade Association) Children’s Equipment Section on the Economic Benefits of the Provision of Children’s Equipment. The provision of equipment for people with learning disabilities is often overlooked compared with provision for people with more physical disabilities. To enable more people with learning disabilities to be cared for in their own families and local communities, the provision of equipment which can assist with this must become a higher priority. This report looks at the provision of equipment for disabled and terminally ill children in much detail. This type of detailed analysis is useful in getting a thorough picture from which to plan effective financial strategies.
