Along with 500 other companies providing healthcare and assistive technology products, Safespaces is a member of The British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA). Specifically focused on our membership of the Children’s Section, our customers benefit from our involvement and professional membership of an organisation that reached its centenary year in 2017.
Our membership benefits are numerous – and ultimately this passes to our customers, healthcare professionals and families who use our Safespaces products. As members, we adhere to the BHTA Code of Practice and this ensures those seeking advice and guidance gain the best possible response and value from us. This Code of Practice has full approval of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute – you’ll find the Approved Trading Standards logo at the foot of our website.
We are directly involved with the Children’s Equipment Section of the BHTA with Jill Morony as the current Chair. Meeting several times a year, member representatives discuss issues affecting our industry, customers and healthcare associates, developing advisory documentation and formulating official responses to external consultations where necessary.
We value our membership of the BHTA greatly, providing us with a platform and network to discuss issues affecting UK healthcare policy. We can have direct influence in formulating strategies to improve standards. This helps the Safespaces team stay at the forefront of developments in our sphere, shaping our product development and service standards to the ultimate benefit of the children, families and carers who use our Safespaces rooms and sleep systems.
We also regularly support a range of initiatives promoted and supported by the BHTA – most recently their BHTA Steptember challenge in September 2017.
BHTA’s vision is “Better health, better care, better value”
